The lodge members serve hundreds of free delivered and in-person meals. The turkey-cooking operation at the University of Wyoming Washakie Dining Center was quite an effort, with a couple of dozen volunteers, two kitchens and 36 turkeys. As volunteers worked, Christmas music played in the background and folks taking the turkey off the bones shared stories of Christmas traditions in their families. It was the 39th year the lodge hosted the community meal.
