Laramie Audubon Society - Plains Lakes Birding Field Trip: 8 a.m., the group will meet at 8 a.m. at 1st Street Plaza in downtown (corner of 1st Street and Grand Avenue) and then caravan/carpool to various lakes in the Laramie Valley with the goal of viewing migrating waterfowl. Attendees should be prepared for cold weather and walking short distances on uneven surfaces, such as lake shores near public access areas and icy or muddy parking lots. The club hopes to have a spotting scope along to improve visibility of the birds. The group also will return to Laramie around noon, but attendees with their own transportation are free to leave at any time. Laramie Sunrise Rotary - Phone Chargers for Ukraine: 9-11 a.m., at 3950 W. Curtis St. With the war raging in Ukraine, the Russians have targeted civilian infrastructure. Electricity to charge phones and water to drink are scarce in many areas of the country. The phones are a lifeline for people to know about troop movements so they know when and where to evacuate for safety. Join the organization and its sister club joining online from Dubno, Ukraine, to build and decorate solar panels with messages of hope and encouragement. Also check out the prototype portable water pumping and filtering system being prepared for deployment.

UW Music presents “Italian Baroque Sonatas”: 7:30 p.m., in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall. The University of Wyoming Department of Music welcomes Eminent Artists-in-Residence Augusta McKay Lodge, Baroque violin, and Hanneke van Proosdij, harpsichord, March 24-26. The duo will present “Italian Baroque Sonatas” during the free event. Other public events include a masterclass from 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the BCPA recital hall and a public lecture/workshop "Musician Training: How to Make High-Quality Performance Videos" at 1 p.m. Tuesday in BCPA 1016. Lodge is an award-winning, historically-informed violinist, enjoying a blossoming career as leader and soloist at a young age. Proosdij is an award-winning music director, conductor, keyboard and recorder player, and composer.

Ivinson Memorial Hospital hosts Surviving and Thriving After Cancer: 5:30-6:30 p.m., at IMH Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Door No. 3. The free, nonprofit program open to the public is designed to empower cancer patients and survivors to improve their quality of life through fitness and health. STAC offers social support and contact, as well as education on cancer prevention, side-effect management and habits to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The free program is on Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 9.
