Ivinson Memorial Hospital hosts Surviving and Thriving After Cancer: 5:30-6:30 p.m., at IMH Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Door No. 3. The free, nonprofit program open to the public is designed to empower cancer patients and survivors to improve their quality of life through fitness and health. STAC offers social support and contact, as well as education on cancer prevention, side-effect management and habits to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The free program is on Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 9.

Walk with a Doc is a national organization focused on encouraging healthy physical activity while reversing the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle. UW Music presents “Virtuoso Gems from the Piano Literature”: 3 p.m., in the University of Wyoming Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts Recital Hall. The free event open to the public will feature acclaimed concert pianist Ksenia Nosikova performing music by J.S. Bach, Rachmaninoff, Clementi, Beethoven and Liszt. Dr. Nosikova has been praised as “First rate” (Fono Forum), “Full of dramatic intensity” (International Piano), “Phenomenal instrumentalist; absorbing, dramatic, compelling, and riveting” (Fanfare Magazine), “Impressive musicianship, musically very poetic” (Boston Globe), and “Refined sensibility and exquisite pianism” (New York Concert Reviews). A graduate of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory and University of Colorado, Nosikova currently serves as a professor and chair of Piano Department at the University of Iowa and a member of the artist faculties of Wiener MusikSeminar International Master Classes (Austria).

Air Force Falconaires Jazz Ensemble: 7:30 p.m., in the University of Wyoming Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. The concert, featuring is free event and open to the public. According to the tour's website, the Falconaires will "take the audience on a trip through the pantheon of big band jazz; performing classics from the golden era of jazz, ala Count Basie and Glenn Miller, all the way through modern day hits like those from the Gordon Goodwin Big Phat Band and even some originals by Falconaires members."
