Ivinson Memorial Hospital hosts Surviving and Thriving After Cancer: 5:30-6:30 p.m., at IMH Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Door No. 3. The free, nonprofit program open to the public is designed to empower cancer patients and survivors to improve their quality of life through fitness and health. STAC offers social support and contact, as well as education on cancer prevention, side-effect management and habits to maintain a healthy lifestyle. The free program is on Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 9.

UW Jazz Studies presents “Spring Swing”: 7:30 p.m., in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts concert hall. The concert will feature Jazz Ensemble II and the Wyoming Jazz Ensemble. Opening the program is “Portrait of a Peaceful Warrior,” a 2020 work by composer Kathryn Bostic and conducted by Amber Sturdevant. Next is George Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” originally set for concert band by Ferde Grofé and arranged here by Donald Hunsberger. The second half of the concert features John Mackey’s 2014 composition, “Wine-Dark Sea,” conducted by Ogechi Ukazu.
