Oh Wow

Oh Wow

And I understand that the city "vacated" (does that mean ceded? Gave? Or just allowed UW to close the street?) in 2014. Doesn't change my underlying point that UW thinks they own the city and can take whatever they want, whenever they want. I don't understand this attitude. UW needs to 'g…

Oh Wow

Why doesn't the city just cede everything within city limits to UW since they seem to think they own everything anyway. A CITY street.... that was supposed to be closed for only a short time while buildings were being built. Now it's 'well it's been closed for so long, lets just keep it c…

Oh Wow

Agreed..... so insane! And not well thought out, imo. They're so stuck on getting new residence halls they aren't thinking of any of the logistics. It's 'plow forward and deal with whatever happens when it happens.' Well..... that's not how things work and is at the expense of staff (whic…

Oh Wow

Great. So it'll reasonably service Old Main. Figures. The rest of campus will have to PAY to park there, and then walk across campus (half of the year in ice and snow) to get to their building. Seems logical.

Oh Wow

I agree with everything you said here. Makes no sense whatsoever; and seems like a huge waste of time and money. Everything is students first, no one else matters. Without staff, there are no students - just like without students there are no staff. But there doesn't seem to be an equal s…

Oh Wow

This whole dorm thing is ridiculous and not thought through. All UW cares about is UW (well, UW students anyway.... definitely not staff) and not the city that supports it. Sick.

Oh Wow

UW is a dumpster fire right now. How many more people have to resign before whomever is "in charge" sees this and does something about it? It's sad and pathetic, imo. They treat staff horribly and then wonder why morale is so awful. Or maybe Theobald just wants to replace everyone on camp…

Oh Wow

I agree with you. Renovate the existing dorms and if the kids don't want to walk across campus, run a dedicated shuttle from the dorms to the classroom building. Even if they have to gut the entire insides of the current dorm buildings and renovate them, I'm sure it would be much cheaper …

Oh Wow

I agree they seem to be more concerned with "appearance" than they do about actual cost and ramifications of their crazy ideas. Everything has to look good on the outside. Who cares what it's doing to the culture and budget of the state and UW.
