The Laramie Boomerang is dedicated to providing timely coverage of obituaries. The newspaper has set forth the following guidelines to be used in determining how obituaries are handled in our publication. The price structure for paid obituaries is as follows, on a per-day basis:
One death notice and one service reminder per person: Free First 150 words: $120 151-200 words: $150 201-250 words: $200 and so on ($50 added for each additional 50 words).
Payment is required up front before publication in the newspaper or on the Boomerang website. There is no additional charge for photos. However, if the quality of the photo is such that it will not reproduce well, the photo will not be used.
All obituaries will be edited for spelling, grammar, libel and AP style, and sentiments or messages will not be edited. Contact Managing Editor Joel Funk (755-3328) or Copy Desk Chief Kayla Dumas (755-3333) with questions about edits.
All obituaries will be posted to our website at www.laramieboomerang.com at no additional charge. Free notices or reminders will be posted for up to one week (service reminders are removed the day after final services), and paid obituaries will be published on the website permanently for the public to read for free without a subscription.
