As Family Promise of Albany County nears the end of its second year in operation, the organization is gearing up for its main fundraiser of the year and looking ahead to potential changes in 2020.

As a nonprofit that fights homelessness in Albany County, Family Promise aims to help families with children find stability. In 2019, Family Promise provided 817 bed nights of shelter to 11 families, including 22 children, said executive director Evelyn Edson.
