ADVERTISEMENT TO BID Notice is hereby given that Albany County School District No. 1 will receive sealed bids for the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, appliances, transportation, and services necessary for: Slade Elementary Electrical System, Fire Alarm System, & Public Address System Upgrades Beitel Elementary School Electrical Panel & Public Address System Upgrades as called for in the Contract Documents at the Administration Office, 1948 Grand Avenue, Laramie, WY 82070 until 3:30 P.M. Local Time, on the 2nd day of April, 2019, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. All bids must be furnished on forms supplied by the Albany County School District No. 1. Sealed envelopes containing bids shall be clearly marked with the project title and shall show the name and address of the Bidder. Bids which are not prepared and filed in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders may be rejected. The School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and the right to waive irregularities or informalities in bids received. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond with sufficient surety, or a certified check or cashier's check, for not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of such bid, payable to, and to be forfeited to, the Albany County School District No. 1 as liquidated damages if bidder fails to enter into contract within thirty (30) days after award to him, or fails, at the time of executing the agreement, to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Facsimile (fax) or other copies of bonds are not acceptable, nor are certified or cashier's checks which have an expiration date of less than one year. NO BID WILL BE CONSIDERED IF NOT ACCOMPANIED BY SUCH BOND, CERTIFIED OR CASHIER'S CHECK OR IF NOT IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 15-1-113(f), W.S. 1977. A complete set of the Project Manual and Plans shall be available on the 11th day of March, 2019 and may be obtained by contacting the Owners Representative, Roger Strube, PE at,. Project Manuals and Plans will be distributed electronically in PDF format free of charge. No hard copies will be made available. During bidding, inquiries that are administrative in nature shall be directed to the Owners Representative. Technical inquiries shall be directed to Wood Environment and Infrastructure, Inc., Rick Shields, A MANDATORY pre-bid conference shall be held at 3:00 P.M. Local Time, on the 26th day of March, 2019, at the offices of Albany County School District #1 Central Administration, 1948 Grand Avenue, Laramie, Wyoming, at which attendance by PRIME BIDDERS IS MANDATORY. A site tour will follow. Preference is hereby given to certified resident contractors. Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the State, as provided in W. S. 16-6-101 through 16-6-119.
