The University of Wyoming Art Museum’s Ann Simpson Artmobile will host a Laramie Jubilee Days Parade costume-making workshop Saturday, July 7, from 10 a.m.-noon at the Art Museum.

As part of the museum’s Family Saturday Workshop, families are invited to make geologically inspired parade costumes, crafts, and accessories for the Artmobile’s parade entry, titled “Rock Show.” The free workshop is inspired by this year’s Laramie Jubilee Days Parade’s theme of “Gem City of the Plains.”

Organizers encourage participants to wear costumes made during the workshop in the parade Saturday, July 14.

For more information, call the Art Museum at (307) 766-6622, visit the website at, or follow the museum on Facebook and Instagram.
