USAF SSgt. Meghan Lisa Gable passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, at the age of 25.
Meghan was born July 29, 1991, in Casper to Roger and Michelle Gable. She was the youngest of two children, USAF SSgt Evan Gable being her older brother. At 17, Meghan joined the United States Air Force and served overseas in both Japan and England for five years. She transferred to Wyoming Air National Guard to pursue a double major in public health and communication disorders at the University of Wyoming. Meghan’s goal was to become an audiologist while quietly taking over the world. She was engaged to be married to Sheeley Andrew Gilbert.
She is survived by her parents; her brother; sister-in-law Heather; nephew Nathan; and niece Liliana. She was much beloved by her extended family of Gables, Hursts and Reynolds.
A celebration of her life will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel in Cheyenne.
Meghan was active in supporting young veterans and was determined to ensure their success in transitioning to life after service. Donations can be made in her memory to the Meghan Gable Student Veterans Emergency Assistance Fund c/o University of Wyoming Foundation, 222 22nd St., Laramie, WY 82070.
