Forest Service roads closed near Foxpark

Forest roads 512 and 512S near Foxpark have been temporarily closed for timber hauling and road plowing for the Foxborough Timber Sale, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The closure applies to F.R. 512 from the intersection with F.R. 524 running south to where it meets Wyoming 230. All wheeled motor vehicles are prohibited along with all other forms of motorized and non-motorized travel, including travel over snow on the roads, rights-of-way and non-forested areas adjacent to the roads. No snowmobile trails will be closed, and access to the area is still available via the “T” trail. Snowmobilers should stay on the trails and not use roads as a shortcut. Private landowners in Fox Park are exempt. The closure is in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Work is expected to be completed by May 1. Contact the Laramie Ranger District at 745-2300 for more information.
