LPD arrest leads to multiple felony, misdemeanor charges

A Laramie Police Department investigation resulted in the arrest of a man who was charged with two felonies and five misdemeanors after officers received a call at about 12:19 p.m. Saturday around the 200 block of North Seventh Street about an unknown male who entered a residence yelling and breaking things.

According to information provided by the LPD, the investigation led to Noah Newman, 31, from Gillette, who was charged with felony strangulation of a family member, punishable by up to five years in prison. Newman was also charged with unlawful entry into an occupied structure, punishable by a fine up to $10,000 and/or 10 years in prison, LPD information states.

Along with the two felony charges, he is also charged with five misdemeanors — including simple assault, domestic battery, interference with an emergency call and property destruction, LPD information states.

Newman was released on a $25,000 signature bond, LPD information states.

Thursday

Marcus Kelly, 26, Laramie, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Courtney Harmon, 31, Gresham, Oregon, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance — meth, possession of a controlled substance — marijuana and felony possession of a controlled substance — heroin.

Laura Neumann, 37, Gresham, Oregon, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance — meth, possession of a controlled substance — marijuana, felony possession of a controlled substance — heroin and no driver’s license.

Friday

Cory Dalton, 28, Laramie, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Saturday

Bransyn Roberts, 20, Laramie, was arrested on suspicion of underage consumption of alcohol and assault and battery.

Cody Taylor, 23, Laramie, was arrested on suspicion of assault and battery.

Malcom Wright, 19, Cheyenne, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving under suspension.

Noah Newman, 31, Gillette, was arrested on suspicion of strangulation, assault and battery and property destruction.

Emil Zebre, 31, Laramie, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

MONDAY

Alan Sidebottom, 34, Colorado, was serving a sentence.

Paula Jaeger, 72, Laramie, was serving a sentence.

Sandra Voelker, 67, Laramie, was in the jail on a probation revocation.

Jason Womack, 27, Krum, Texas, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and having no driver’s license.

Kent Stephens, 47, Laramie, in the jail on a probation and parole sanction.
