The University of Wyoming Art Museum will host Family Saturday Workshop March 3 from 10 a.m.-noon.

Family Saturday Workshop is a studio workshop led by the Art Museum’s trained teaching artists and educators to help families explore artistic materials and concepts inspired by museum exhibitions. The workshop is free for families and individuals of all ages.

March’s workshop will feature two exhibitions: “Jon Lodge: Interface” and the 43rd annual Juried UW Student Exhibition. Participants will have access to traditional and cutting-edge materials, and will have the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) concepts. Museum educators will provide guidance and artistic materials.

Through its “Museum as Classroom” approach, the UW Art Museum places art at the center of learning for all ages. Located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie, the museum is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday hours are extended to 7 p.m. February through April and September through November. Admission is free.
