REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The City of Laramie will accept written Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) from qualified companies to provide:

General Tree Maintenance

The contracting company shall provide all personnel, equipment and supplies necessary to provide general tree maintenance services to include trees with a trunk diameter greater than twelve (12) inches at twelve (12) inches above the surrounding grade; or taller than fifteen (15) feet. Ability to access the trees without causing injury to people or pets or damage to property to provide maintenance including: tree removal (including stump removal), tree pruning, support system installation in trees and provide approved traffic control as required. The City reserves the right to waive any abnormality in any submittal and/or reject any and all submittals and to accept the submittal it feels is in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to award this project to the company who best addresses the requirements contained in the Request for Qualifications. The City of Laramie seeks to integrate energy efficiency practices into all aspects of day-to-day operations, from capital construction specifications to staff behaviors, to ensure economic and environmental sustainability. The City encourages bidder submissions that 1) enhance the efficiency of City projects and ongoing operations, and/or 2) consider all energy types, including traditional and renewable sources. Pursuant to the provisions of Wyoming Statute 16-6-203(a), the City of Laramie requires the use of Wyoming laborers on the project, except where Wyoming laborers are not available or are not qualified for the specific work. Preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured, supplied or grown in Wyoming, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the State, as provided in W. S. §§ 16-6-101 through 16-6-119.

The Laramie City Council will meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 09, 2014 in the City Council Chambers, Laramie City Hall, 406 Ivinson Street, Laramie, WY, to take public comments or protests on a proposed zoning change: ORIGINAL ORDINANCE NO. 1910.

The application has been submitted by Tyler Lampert, property owner, and requests the property be zoned with ROB (Residential Overlay for Business Districts).
